Russia 2 - St Petersburg

St Petersburg is known as Russia's cultural capital with extravagant mansions, churches, tenement buildings and palaces many built at the height of the Russian empire. It is a balancing act now to preserve and restore the historic buildings and yet allow development and modern architecture. The 462m high Lakhta Center finished in 2018 seems out of place but that is progress I guess.
